Complyfirst is a reporting automation platform for financial services compliance teams. We remove 80% of manual reporting work so teams can focus on reviewing, not doing. We grew almost 6x last year and are hiring across the business.
Role Overview
We’re hiring our first internal recruiter. You’ll own the full hiring process across every function - sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing. You’ll be central to one of the most important things we do: getting the right people in the door. Over time, as you build deep company knowledge, you’ll have the option to take on talent development, performance management, and people operations. If you move fast, communicate well, and take personal ownership of outcomes, this is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full hiring process. From job brief to signed offer. Source candidates, manage pipelines, coordinate interviews, and close. You keep things moving and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Hire across every function. Tech, compliance, sales, operations. You’re a generalist who can hire well across the business.
- Build the pipeline. Don’t wait for inbound. Use LinkedIn, networks, and creative sourcing to find people we’d never find otherwise.
- Own onboarding. Make sure new hires land well and ramp fast.
- Run people operations. Contracts, policies, HR admin. Keep the basics working so the team doesn’t have to think about them.
- Build the talent function. We’re early. You’ll shape how we hire, how we onboard, and eventually how we develop and retain people. This role grows with the company.
What We’re Looking For
- You’ve hired before. Startup experience is preferred, but experience in a an agency or fast-paced environment also works. What matters is that you’ve run a hiring process end to end and you know what good looks like.
- You have hustle. You don’t wait for candidates to come to you. You go and find them. You follow up. You close.
- You move fast without dropping quality. You stay organised under pressure and don’t let things slip.
- You communicate well. Candidates, hiring managers, and the founders - you keep everyone aligned.
- You take ownership. If a role isn’t filling, you don’t report the problem - you find a way to fix it.
This Role Is Not For You If…
- You need a large HR team around you. You’re the first.
- You’re a process person who waits for the process to be built. You’ll be building it.
- You’re only interested in recruiting. This role grows into people ops and talent management - you need to want that.
- You’re not comfortable with ambiguity. Things change fast here.
